Why Our ‘Recommendations’ Are Different

 

There is a distinct difference between a ‘Recommendation’ and a ‘Review”

 

A review is a very personal prospective assessment of your experience. Two guests in the same restaurant, at the same time eating the same menu item can offer-up completely different reviews. One can be ecstatic of the location’s décor, ambiance, menu, their meal and the quality of the staff. However, the other guests on a nearby table who have exactly the same experience, member of staff and meal can be very unimpressed by it; perhaps the server was ‘over attentive’, there was too much dill in their Lemon Sauce on their meal etc. etc.  It’s a personal evaluation of a location’s quality.

 

A recommendation differs as it takes a more forensic evaluation of the ‘entire’ experience, from the quality of the lighting and décor, quality of the ingredients used, the presentation, right through to the interaction and knowledge of the staff. Guest reviews are also considered from multiple platforms.

 

Only locations that reach our ‘Recommendation Threshold’ and included. Our recommended lists are continuously scrutinized and new locations are being added regularly.
